IEP Advocacy Support — Meeting Representation Only
Advocating for your child in an IEP meeting can feel intimidating—especially when you’re the only one at the table who truly sees the whole picture.
You deserve someone who understands not just the paperwork, but the whole child. That’s where I come in: I’ll be your dedicated advocate during a scheduled IEP, 504, or care team meeting, ensuring your child’s needs are heard and addressed.
WHAT’S INCLUDED:
✓ Pre-meeting intake call to review records, clarify goals, and identify concerns
✓ Live attendance at the IEP meeting (virtual or in-person where applicable)
✓ On-the-spot support advocating for appropriate services, accommodations, and educational access
✓ Summary recap and follow-up recommendations post-meeting
WHO IT’S FOR:
✓ This is not generic advocacy—it’s informed by years of clinical psychiatric experience and deep understanding of child development, medication, and systems of care. You don’t have to advocate alone.
Mindful Medication Consultation
When you're faced with big decisions about your child’s psychiatric care—like whether to try medication, what a diagnosis really means, or how to advocate for the right treatment—it’s easy to feel overwhelmed, confused, or even dismissed. You want answers that make sense for your child, but the medical system often feels cold, rushed, and fragmented.
That’s why I offer this one-time consultation: a space for you to ask questions, talk through concerns, and gain clinical insight from a provider who not only understands child development and mental health—but also sees the whole family system you’re navigating.
WHAT’S INCLUDED:
✓ A 75-minute virtual consultation (HIPAA-compliant, non-prescribing)
✓ Review of your child’s current diagnoses, treatments, and concerns
✓ Discussion of medication options, side effects, benefits, and red flags
✓ Guidance on treatment planning—where to start, how to balance meds, therapy, or testing
✓ Psychoeducation around ADHD, anxiety, mood disorders, and emotional regulation
WHO IT’S FOR:
✓ This consult is for parents who are questioning whether medication is the right path, feeling uncertain about a current treatment plan, or simply want a trusted second opinion before meeting with a psychiatrist.
*Note: This is a non-prescribing consultation. It's designed for insight and support—not medical treatment or prescriptions.
What Sets This Work Apart

Every child’s behavior is a response to their unique experiences. I guide you in interpreting these behaviors with compassion, helping you respond with understanding and precision.
✓ COACHING + ADVOCACY:
You get both personalized coaching for your family and experienced advocacy in school and medical settings—not just one or the other—so you’re fully supported every step of the way.
✓ PARENT-FIRST APPROACH:
Your well-being matters too. I support not only your child’s needs but also your mental health and emotional regulation, ensuring the entire family thrives together.

Coaching supports you as the parent—building your skills, confidence, and ability to lead your family through challenges. Advocacy focuses on representing your child’s needs in systems like school or medical care. Through Mindful Parent Network, you can choose coaching, advocacy, or to receive a blend of both, tailored to what your family needs most.
-
Yes! The IEP Advocacy Support service offers one-time meeting representation. We’ll meet beforehand to review documents and concerns, and I’ll be there during your IEP, 504, or care team meeting to support your child’s access to the services they need.
FAQs
-
Absolutely. Whether you have a diagnosis in hand or are still trying to make sense of your child’s behaviors and challenges, I’m here to support you. The Foundations Package or a 1:1 session is often a great place to begin.
-
Yes. As a psychiatric nurse practitioner, I offer medication literacy support—including how different treatments work, what questions to ask your provider, and how to weigh the pros and cons based on your child’s needs. I do not prescribe as part of coaching, but I help you become an informed and empowered decision-maker.

Mental health coaching is a valuable support service, but it’s not considered a medical treatment or diagnosis-based service—so it doesn’t meet the criteria for insurance reimbursement. Unlike therapy or psychiatry, coaching focuses on skill-building, guidance, and goal-setting rather than clinical diagnosis or treatment. Because of this, insurance companies generally don’t cover coaching services. However, coaching can still be a powerful complement to clinical care, especially for families navigating complex systems and looking for personalized, hands-on support.
